"Groovide" by John Pedersen (smooth jazz artist from California)

The CD "Groovidi" by John Pedersen is an impressive smooth jazz CD. The instrumentation and production are tasteful and the melodies are memorable. Especially impressive, is John's excellent piano and keyboard work, and the excellent musicianship throughout the CD. The CD has a very professional sound. "Montery Getaway" is one of our favorite tracks. It demonstrates the versatility of John's piano skills. The compositon is very soothing and breathtaking all at the same time. It has a Bob Baldwin kind of feel to it. The reverb from the piano jumps out at you and almost makes you feel like you're right in the room with him. Please go out and purchase this CD. We recommend it to anyone who appreciates smooth melodies and stylish beats.

"Island Bars" by Frank Tuma (instrumental latin jazz artist from Florida)

The CD entitled "Island Bars" by Frank Tuma is an instrumentally beautiful work of art wonderfully mixed with Jazz and blues with a strong Caribbean feel . This CD is full of classical and traditional grooves combined in a revolutionary way, yet holding its strong quality of reminiscence. The musicianship and recording quality on the CD are splendid. The artist behind this exquisite work is completely, heartily welded in the tunes as he plays with a sense of dexterity, vivacity and wit. His manner of blend of instruments is magical. All the tracks in this CD sound very good. However, we see ourselves playing the track "When the saints are marching" over and over again. Frank's well arranged instruments give this traditional number a contemporarily Latino feel, rich in Jazz influence. The title "In a down and dirty Bar" has a skillful trumpet part and a rich Jazzy touch. If you enjoy hauntingly ethereal instrumental melodies with Jazz and blues flavor, you will enjoy this CD. "My Irish Heart" by Phil Klein (Pianist from Potsdam, New York (SUNY))

Twenty two traditional Irish songs are included on this CD by Phil Klein entitled My Irish Heart. Phil weaves a tale softly and smoothly, as he takes the listener on a special journey back to old Ireland. His musical expertise lends a brilliant touch of classical to these extremely popular native songs. His piano work is exceptional and his style reflects one of such great care to transform the listener to a time gone by in the homeland. Of course, no collection would be complete without "O Danny Boy", superbly done by Phil. A comical number, entitled "Who Threw the Overalls in Mistress Murphy's Chowder" gives a whimsical feel, and our all-time favorite has to be the medley "FINALE AND FAREWELL to the OLDE SOD". Delight in owning a copy for yourself, pick one up today!
