Picture yourself in a serene, tropical paradise with a warm gentle breeze lightly blowing through an open and airy room that has a soft and atmospheric quality, as you hear the velvety and melodious songs of "Beauty and Fire" by Tomas Michaud drifting all around. Michaud takes his talented flair of playing acoustic Flamenco guitar and melds it ever so gracefully to silky and delicate melodies. His abilities to lure you into his music starts with the very first song and title track, "Beauty and Fire," with an elegant guitar that stirs a vision of peace and serenity. Not only will the soothing guitar melt your heart, but the simple yet effective percussion sounds of "Embrace in the Mist" and "My Secret Cave" seem to intermingle with charming style. A beautiful piano and violin embellish the tender and heartwarming song "Beginnings-Prelude to Paradise," while the guitar plays with affectionate appeal. If you need to take the edge off from having a bad day, then serve up your favorite refreshment, sit back and enjoy the wonderful contemporary instrumental guitar music of "Beauty and Fire," and let it take you away to peaceful bliss.

Amelia Coffey has the right idea of how animals can inspire warm and inviting melodies with her New Age Jazz instrumental disc, "Uriel's Passage." Coffey has taken her love for animals and has artistically composed and performed these charming songs of peaceful mood music. "Dolphin Play" is stunning with a nice dynamic balance between the electric piano and flute while the melody sweetly flows with ease. Delicate and dreamy, the titled track, "Uriel's Passage" is serene with the flute playing with heartfelt emotions while guitar gracefully accompanies with soft broken chord progressions. Picture yourself standing in a lush, green meadow of Ireland with the wind gently blowing a warm summer breeze through your hair with the sounds of the ocean and birds singing, as you hear a beautiful rendition of "Danny Boy" performed ever so gracefully on the flute. Relax and enjoy the memorable, dreamscape sounds and lovely instrumental melodies on "Uriel's Passage."

"Irish Coffee" the instrumental disc from the highly talented violinist Cady Finlayson is a stand out album filled with an abundance of Celtic feel. Known for performing traditional Irish music, Finlayson adds a touch of Americana to her latest effort and the result is a wonderful collection of brisk and lively melodies. The song "A Midwinter Waltz" makes you feel as if you are strolling along the breath taking hills of Ireland on a snowy day. Adding the American folk element "Brooklyn March" highlights Finlayson's energetic violin work and melds together Americana with an Irish flare. This album "Irish Coffee" is powered by energetic and enthusiastic violin instrumentals with Celtic flare and a colorful touch of folk.

"Unconditional" is the impressive debut release from solo finger-style guitarist Andrew Gorny. Gorny has crafted a stellar group of compositions, creating an alluring and interesting collection of instrumental music. The marriage of organic and non-organic elements is a big part of this piece of work as Andrew's crisp and clean style is subtly supported by ambience and mood driving elements. The frenzied and chaotic "Pretentious" is a stunning opener, showcasing Gorny's virtuosity and mastery of the guitar. The title track "Unconditional" is a moving and tender ballad, with beautifully structured melodies. "Beatin' Tha Gutz" is of a more funky nature, with Gorny weaving his lines over a definitive, smooth groove. "Double-Edged Sword" is another showcasing of Gorny's dazzling technique, demonstrating amazing facility as well as musical depth. The album closes with "Michael Beautiful," a fitting tribute to Michael Hedges, one of Gorny's major influences. "Unconditional" is an inspiring album that will be enjoyed by fans of instrumental guitar in the style of Michael Hedges and Pat Metheny.
