"The 'In' Crowd" is a toe-tapping, foot-shuffling song with a soulful energy. "Jitterbug Waltz" is a mellow Jazz waltz with almost mysterious-sounding piano playing along with soft drum brushes and subtle guitar hits. For "Joy Spring" we have a softly spirited Jazz song in which the electric guitar delightfully takes the lead as the piano and drums create a sweet and colorful sound-scape. This album is filled with highly entertaining Jazz songs that definitely have the familiar feel of an impromptu performance while still being overtly professional. If you are a fan of Jazz piano in any form, then "The House Jazz Concert Series, Vol. 1." by Dave Powers is an album you would definitely enjoy.

-Sean B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Dave Powers's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites
RadioIndyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09244432637973539747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6363895047430910102.post-56200459050065538532009-12-27T17:18:00.001-08:002009-12-27T17:18:32.865-08:00Featured Single
Band Name: Matthew
Featured Single: After The Rain
Album: Color My Soul
Genre: Instrumental
LISTEN | BUY

RadioIndyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09244432637973539747noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6363895047430910102.post-34906925310342745642009-12-09T19:24:00.001-08:002009-12-09T19:24:54.365-08:00"Hollywood Flower" by Daniel Guy Martin (Instrumental Artist from Canada)

Award-winning guitarist Daniel Guy Martin returns with "Hollywood Flower," another stellar album of instrumental guitar compositions that simply defy categorization. Part New Age-like spontaneity, part pure jazz improvisation, Martin's explorations result in melodic and accessible tunes that are nevertheless completely satisfying. Album opener, "Beautiful Cold Feet," reflects the composer's New Age influences with a solemn, introspective melody, while title-track, "Hollywood Flower," delves the guitarist's jazz instincts with equal finesse. Elsewhere, "It's Up To You" offers a more sprightly invocation of the guitarist's songcraft, with Martin displaying a dexterity on his acoustic guitar that belies the seeming ease of its performance. An album for fans of New Age music, Daniel Guy Martin's "Hollywood Flower" album is a must-hear for fans of intricate and eclectic instrumental guitar improvisations.

-Rice B and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Daniel Guy Martin 's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites
RadioIndyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09244432637973539747noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6363895047430910102.post-19175473521361093922009-10-22T20:31:00.001-07:002009-10-22T20:31:14.651-07:00"Illusions" by Terry Lynn Tschaekofske (Instrumental Artist from Utah(UT))

Terry Lynn Tschaekofske and his debut solo album, "Illusions," is a collection of songs in which he lets his expert guitar playing be placed center stage. The album is recorded using a variety of guitars; numerous types of sublime electric and acoustic sounds are featured on different tracks, yet on each track Terry is not accompanied by other instruments at all. He wants the listener to calmly take in the subtle and nuanced sounds of his prized instrument. On the song, "Who Was She," we hear an electric guitar slowly croon a love song. The song "Santa Cruz Lady," features an acoustic guitar employing a more upbeat sound with a slight blues influence. On the track, "Inamorata Mirage," we hear Terry's smooth double picking as he plays what comes off as a pleasing antiquated melody. This album is wonderful for relaxing and reflective moments; when one is curled up by the fire or to have playing nicely in the background for a family BBQ. If you enjoy tranquil yet talented music or simply are a fan of instrumental guitar compositions than "Illusions" is an album that you would enjoy hearing.

-Sean B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team
Check out Terry Lynn Tschaekofske's music on RadioIndy.com with link to purchase and links to popular sites
RadioIndyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09244432637973539747noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6363895047430910102.post-91017674690941945572009-10-20T18:01:00.001-07:002009-10-20T18:01:04.037-07:00"Land of Golden Dreams CD" by Elisabeth Waldo (Classical/Instrumental Artist from California(CA))

Elisabeth Waldo and her exquisite album, "Land of Golden Dreams CD" is a diverse collection of world cultures beautifully embellished with instrumental sound textures.
